IT WAS NEVER CLOSE

The race for the Fantasy Playoff Pool Championship was about as exciting as SB59. HELLER racked up a big lead entering SB59 and was the first team since 2016 to hold on to its lead and win the Pool. Pool MVP Saquan Barkley finished the playoffs with 574 scrimmage yards and 5 TDs. Super Bowl 59 MVP Jalen Hurts finishes with 726 passing yards and 5 TD passes along with 194 yards rushing and 5 rushing scores. The top three entries had Barkley and Hurts along with RB Joe Mixon (194 rushing yards/2 TDs) and the LA Rams defense, who had a whopping 16 sacks, a TD and a safety. $3 WR Dyami Brown was the lotto pick for HELLER with 14 catches for 229 yards and a TD, but HELLER's pass catchers all came through DeVonta Smith (16-190-1), Nico Collins (12-203-1) and TE Tyler Higbee (12-112-1).

PUSHING FORWARD

STABILE (2nd place) and ROUTE 9 SOUTH (3rd place) each had Hurts, Barkley, Mixon and the LA Rams. Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts helped push the top four entries enough to keep their lead, while Hurts' teammates pushed him into the end zone in SB59. STABILE finished 28 fantasy points behind HELLER. STABILE's other key players were TE Zach Ertz (18-165-1), WR Rashod Bateman (6-90-2), WR Mack Hollins (5-104-1) and kicker Zane Gonzalez 7 FGs/7 XP. In third place, was ROUTE 9 SOUTH who got help from Nico Collins (12-203-1) and TE Dallas Goedert (17-215-1). CHISARICK finishes in fourth place with Hurts, Barkley and the Rams defense. CHISARICK also had RB Derrick Henry, 270 rushing yards and 3 TDs, and $3 WR Dyami Brown (14-229-1) as their other main contributors.

ON TRACK TO WINNING

In fifth place is TRAINOFPAIN, the top team without Hurts. Rookie QB Jayden Daniels kept TRAINOFPAIN on track with 822 passing yards and 5 TD passes, while rushing for 135 yards and 1 score. TRAINOFPAIN did have Barkley, who was on each of the top 18 entries. TRAINOFPAIN had a great receiving corps with AJ Brown (12-163-2), Terry McLaurin (14-227-3) and DeVonta Smith (16-190-1). Smith and Brown caught TDs in SB59. TRAINOFPAIN had the Houston defense that seemed to score every way possible in the playoffs with a pick six, a safety and a blocked two-point conversion returned for a score.

RUNAWAY

HELLER stayed on top for week 3 as Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley seem to be making FPP27 a runaway. Hurts and Barkley combined for 6 rushing TDs in the NFC Championship. Barkley has 442 yards rushing and 5 touchdowns in the playoffs. HELLER also has Barkley’s teammate, QB Jalen Hurts, who has thrown for 505y and 3 TDs while running for 125y and four touchdowns. Another key for HELLER has been $3 bargain WR Dyami Brown 14 receptions, 219 yards and a TD. HELLER has built his lead with solid production from RB Joe Mixon, 219 scrimmage yards and 2 scores, WR Nico Collins, 12-203-1, TE Tyler Higbee, 12-112-1 and the L.A. Rams’ defense (16 sacks, TD and safety). HELLER enters SB59 with a big lead while Hurts, Barkley and DeVonta Smith are live in the big game.

SNOW BIRDS

Penguins are the bird known for long journeys in the ice and snow, but Sunday it was Eagles. Jalen Hurts traveled 42 yards and Saquon Barkley journeyed 62 & 78 yards to the end zone. HELLER marched into first place in the standings and was the week two winner. Barkley has 324 yards rushing and 2 scores in the playoffs. HELLER has Barkley coupled in the backfield with Joe Mixon 219 scrimmage yards and 2 scores. QB Jalen Hurts has thrown for 259y and 2 TDs while running for 109y and a touchdown. For the second straight week Mike McCarthy finishes second and Chadampokerff finishes third.
Note: The top two teams had only one player in common (Nico Collins). Surprisingly, this also happened in the division round only standings where Jahmyr Gibbs was the only player in common between the top two teams. PHOTO CREDIT: Sarah Stier/Getty Images

WEEK TWO STANDINGS

MAKE NO MISTAKE, 22 IS THE KING

22-and-out-!!! got a colossal defensive performance from the L.A. Rams to help them pull off the week one victory. The Rams sacked Sam Darnold nine times, one of which was a strip-sack that was returned for a TD. This helped 22-and-out!!! leap frog ahead of the leader Gonzo’s Gang (Gonzo’s Gang was last year’s week one winner). They were also able to hold off Mike McCarthy, who trailed 22-and-out!!! by only three points going into Monday Night with both RB Kyren Williams and WR Puka Nacua active. #22 Derrick Henry ran 26x for 186 yards and 2 scores. King Henry was the opening week’s top scorer. 22-and-out!!! also had Bucky Irving, who carried 17x for 77 yards and caught a TD. Each of the WRs caught seven passes and a TD Niko Collins (122 yards), Mike Evans (92 yards) and Terry McLaurin (89 yards). Quarterback Baker Mayfield tossed two TD passes.
