O’CONNOR did not have Pool MVP Puka Nacua. He did not have the Pool’s top-scorer, Kenneth Walker. He did not have the top-scoring QB, Drake Maye or even the player who appeared on each of the top seven entries, Rhamondre Stevenson. Yet, with 13:29 remaining in SB60, O’ CONNOR got a TD pass from his QB to his tight end, which propelled him into the top five and O'CONNOR stayed there until 2:21 remained in the big game. O’CONNOR’s roster has QB Sam Darnold, RB Kyren Williams , WR JSN and WR D.J. Moore. But, O’CONNOR has four players and a defense that nobody in front of him had. First, Christian Kirk, a $4 WR, had 10 catches for 164 yards. Kirk was the Pool’s WR3 and was outscored only by Puka and JSN, who both cost double his salary. Also, the Houston Texans’ defense, which scored 30+ fantasy points for the third straight year. The Houston defense had 2 TDs, 9 sacks and forced 5 turnovers. Also, kicker Matt Prater, kicked 5 FGs and 6 PATS. Two of his FGs were from beyond 50 yards. CONNOR’s tight end, A.J. Barner scored the first TD of SB60. Lastly, RB Kyle Monangai, had 121 scrimmage yards in two playoff games. Monangai was cheaper and a drop off from the pool’s top performing RBs.
